Renewable Energy for Industry

Energy is one of the largest operating costs in many factories. Solar power can reduce that cost and make the plant less exposed to rising tariffs. Wavy Solutions has delivered solar energy projects, and we design and build solar systems for industrial sites in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East and other markets.

Solar energy for factories

We develop solar power systems for industrial users, mounted on factory roofs, over car parks or on nearby land. The aim is to cover part of the plant's daytime electricity demand with its own generation and lower the energy bill. In regions with strong sunshine such as Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, solar output is high and fits well with daytime production shifts. We look at the plant's energy use as a whole, so the solar system supports production instead of being an add-on.

Design and engineering

We start with the plant's load profile: how much power it uses, when and for which processes. We then assess the available roof or land area, structural capacity, shading, dust conditions and grid connection. On this basis we size the system, select modules, inverters and mounting structures from reliable European and international suppliers, and design the electrical integration with the plant. Dust and heat are important in the Middle East, so we plan for module cleaning, ventilation and equipment suited to high temperatures.

Phased build-out

In line with our project philosophy, a solar system can start at a size that fits the client's current budget and grow later. A first phase covers the most valuable part of the daytime load and starts saving money from the first month. Further phases can add capacity or storage once the savings justify it. For new plants we develop, we plan roofs, electrical rooms and grid connections so that solar can be added at any stage without rework.

What the client should prepare

The client should share electricity bills for the last twelve months or, better, metered load data. We need site drawings, roof details or available land, and information on the grid connection and any backup generators. The client should also tell us about plans for plant expansion, since this affects the system size. With this information we can prepare a design, an investment estimate and the expected savings, and then build the system.
